Now, I'm not one to get involved with celebrity controversy or biographies but David Bowie has been and will always be a huge inspiration of mine.
I was quite intrigued with this book, I will admit.
I wanted to know more about this man that ruled the world.
After his death on January 10, 2016--I have felt a shift in change with this whole world. As if this whole world feels very empty with his passing. As the author put it--There is a great sense of loss in Bowie's absence.
I have been a diamond dog since the dawn of his career and I felt like a part of me died on that day, as well.

This book has been tastefully done and arranged in such a way that gives amazing quality to the reader. Please note that this is an oral history rather than a narrative biography. It's made up of pieces of interviews and commentary based on the man himself. It still gives you a peek into his life and in my opinion, firm facts that will be backed up by time rather than mere hearsay.
This kaleidoscopic approach shines light on various opinions on the man rather than a bold text and cheek look on his life. It was surprising entertaining and quite honestly, it really paints the man as the Space Oddity that he truly is. With multiple opinions on him, it is just a lovely read. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who is barely finding out about this man and wanting to know him entirely, but if you have a firm concept of him and just want to get enlightened furthermore (like me!) than this is a sure thing!
I really love how thick of a book this is--it's huge and it would be something amazing inside a collectors cabinet.
I don't want to spoil any important bits, but from what I read--it's something that will give you a better understanding of this man in his golden years~ <3
I highly recommend and approve.
