Book Review: "Perspective In Action" by David Chelsea

Hello ladies and gents
I have another book review for the likes of those book-inclined.

I love all variations of literature.
From poetry to prose.
This book I have today is solely based on something I was taught (but forgot!) in Art School.

I remember really being obsessed with perspective illusion.
the glass on the table can look flat but tilt it to the side--it's not.
or like the book of Alice in Wonderland, where Alice grows "larger" walking down a narrow pathway.
It's all illusions for a perspective viewpoint...which, of course, is what builds a person as an artist.
How they can create amazing landscapes or industrial settings.

As an artist myself, I thought this book would greatly benefit me by touching up all those rusty memories I lost long ago.
years of neglect and not attending any additional art schools can take a toll on the artistic mind. lmfao

I was pleasantly surprised with this book.
It's filled with all types of illustrations, so many pictures and reference images for my sake.

I love how they not only inform the reader about the knowledge of knowing but also, give them something to see--to grasp in their mind without just being bold, dead text.
They mixed in various different ages--from Renaissance to the digital age.
Showing how perspective changes and adapts to the new technology.

I am really glad I decided to get this book, because it shined light on old topics and opened my mind to new ones I didn't even know.
I will be greatly taking all this new-found information to heart the next time I decide to do an artsy project! (Which will be very soon!)

I highly recommend and approve, especially to those who are looking into the artistic lifestyle.
Nothing like a little knowledge to help you on your path to creativity!

You can find the book HERE, for those interested in making a purchase!
xoxo
