Hello ladies and gents, Today I am bringing you a lovely review/showcase featuring my latest Prismpop Tester Bag products! Thanks to Prismpop & The Organic Skin Co. for allowing me this opportunity to test and try these out!
Beauty, as some have said time and time again, is only skin deep...So, with that being said, don't you think we should be more cautious of what exactly we put in our skin? From harmful chemicals that can affect hormonal balance and fertility--a single woman (and man) can use 168 of these unique ingredients in just a single day. (according to the Environmental Working Group)
We are what we apply to our face and on our bodies--So, it's important to only put in stuff that will aid in repairing, renewing and rebuilding. That is exactly what I found in The Organic Skin Co.
The Organic Skin Co. is not only just your average eco-friendly beauty company, it's so much more!!
Taken from their website:
"We make products with a strong commitment to this planet we call home and using organic and natural ingredients so pure they make your skin sing. We want you to love wearing our products, with colors that pop, shades that last, and packaging you can’t resist sharing with others. And we want to make products that have some soul, that embody those things we all so love about makeup and skincare; things like confidence, optimism, and – when the timing is right – just a little bit of sass."

I love everything about this company and what it represents. Also, the fact that every purchase "plants a tree" just makes my heart feel so good and happy!

LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS
(To defeat the huns? No. Wrong line! lol)
Now, I read you the information. You know about the trees. Let's get into this showcase, shall we?
As the name suggests, this is one of those versatile makeup products. With multi-uses, It can be used as a blush, a lipstick and even (if dared to try, like I have!) a cream eye shadow. Unlike the lipsticks, which were slightly dry, in my opinion--this Cheeky Lips Pod, when worn as a lippy, was extremely moisturizing. Much more like a glossy lipstick than tint or stain.
It blends beautifully as a blush, lightly tap a brush into the pod and you can achieve a beautifully natural flushed look in seconds. I personally love multi-purpose products, because it can save you so much money to just snag one of these instead of wasting your dollar on a lipstick and blush that will probably barely be used more than once.
What I also love is that this little pod contains so much amazing key ingredients for your lips/skin's overall health. Organic castor seed oil and supercritical extracts of rosemary, pomegranate and calendula will help to replenish your cheeks and lips, keeping them smooth and healthy.
I got mine in the shade 'Velvet,' which was a dark pink, almost purple. Very magenta, in comparison. I only applied 2 coats to my lips in the photos. This little pod is very pigmented, which is important to note if you apply to your cheeks. You got to make sure to blend it out!
I really love the color of Velvet, reminds me of Princess Jasmine from the Disney Movie Aladdin! (one of my favorite Princesses!) I definitely will be getting a TON of uses out of this pod.
🌿'THE EYES HAVE IT' Cream Eye Shadows🌿
I received 2 of these 'The Eyes Have It' Cream Eye Shadows in the colors Greenstone & Silhouette. The packaging was way beyond my own expectations. Sleek and professional with that earthy touch--caps made from a wooden material.
As someone who really appreciates the planet, I love everything this company stands for. The product itself amazed me. They are MUCH bigger than expected, which was so very reasonable for the price point.
An 0.08 Oz Refill Pod is around $18 dollars. Not too bad and certainly well worth the price point, considering that 'each sale plants a tree.' Enough about the packaging, allow me to get into each shade.
💚GREENSTONE💚
This cream shadow is a beautiful dark emerald (Forest Green!!) based glimmer cream.
Buildable to an extent that at it's full pigmentation--it shines like a jewel all its own.

I used to own a similar shade I would wear all the time on my lower bottom lid. My old eye shadow came from the "Arabian Nights" Disney Elf Palette named "Jafar" and it is almost a complete and total dupe of the same shade. (Just in cream form!) I was so happy to find this out because I've been searching FOREVER for this shade, so I am quite thrilled to add this one to my collection!
♥SILHOUETTE♥
A smokey stone grey based cream shadow with a slight cool light blue undertone.
Reminds me of a cream eye shadow from Urban Decay called 'Bulletproof.'

This one isn't as glittery as Greenstone but the shimmer is still there. I definitely will be using this shade a lot to achieve that "smokey eye" look I love so much! This one needed a few coats to achieve that rich grey tone, I will admit. But just like Greenstone, this one can and definitely will be buildable.
Below will be photos of these two shades swatched for your viewing pleasures. I also included some Pros and Cons of this specific product.
🌿Some More Info & Swatches🌿
⚫Since both are very buildable, you can make some amazing eye looks using these shades. I even took the liberty to combine them both. The colors blend beautifully together and can even be added on top of each other as an accent shade to one another.
⚫What I really love about these cream shadows is that they are made from ingredients that aren't harmful to put in or around your eye. Organic castor seed oil, calendula, rosemary and pomegranate highlight what these cream shadows are made from. All individually good in their own way for your skin's overall health.
⚫Since we are on the topic of healthy--I love how Organic Skin Co. didn't compromise beauty over health but rather, blended both of those essential things together to create highly pigmented and beautiful products we can choose without having to feel guilty about anything. Something the eco-friendly beauty community lacks so much of. We need more products like these on the market to pick and chose from.
⚫With 10 shades to chose from, you definitely have something for everyone.
⚫Not only do these shadows work well as what they were intended for--being eye shadows but they can double as beautiful eyeliners.
⚫The color lasted well into my whole day, without fading. In fact, when I tried to wipe them off using my washcloth and Micellar Water--They slightly stained my skin. lol
⚫As for texture and feel--they were superb. Not sticky, like most cream shadows. Much more like satin than glue. lol I applied mine on top of primer, just to make sure the colors stood out in their full pigmentation. I highly advise on using a priming element when wearing these shadows. You can use them alone but they seemed to have lasted longer with the light coat of primer.
🌿Some Negatives About These Cream Shadows🌿
⚫Now, I did find a few negatives about these cream shadows. Nothing too ground-breaking but enough to talk about. Despite the colors being pigmented and lasting all day without fading, even using primer...I did happen to notice some extreme creasing and migrating in the shadows. I have hooded eyes, so that probably contributed to most of the creasing but something to note. (I have photos for reference!) It doesn't shock me though, considering they are cream based shadows. Creams usually do this sort of thing, which is why I don't normally reach for too many of them but I am pleasantly surprised by these. Primarily for the pigmentation. I definitely plan to use mine a lot, despite the minor con.
⚫The only other negative I have to address is minor irritation. My eyes are extremely sensitive to most products, and these shades definitely reddened them up a bit. No stinging or anything of the sort, just slight redness with some watering of my eyes. It only lasted for a few seconds, I guess to get my eyes used to the product a bit, but after a few minutes of wear, they took to the creams nicely and reduced in redness.

Silhouette giving me major cold vibes~ |
All in all, I am quite pleased with these shadows. I will be digging into my pots for a long time, using them in all ways possible to my makeup wear. Especially that Greenstone shade.
🌿'LIP SERVICE' LIPSTICKS🌿
I truly believe that a girl's (and boy's!) best friend is their lipstick! lol A good lipstick can truly make someone feel confident and exude a sense of pride in yourself and what you intend to wear. (Not that we need to have a lipstick help us with that but you get the idea! lol) 'Lip Service' Lipsticks have to be the most pigmented, long lasting, fade resistant and feather resistant lippies I have ever graced my lips with.
The photos I included are sheer proof of that. They are so very intense in their shades and I love that so much in a lipstick. I got mine in the shades 'Galaxy' and 'Summer Sands.' The packaging was equally as beautiful as everything else mentioned here--sleek, elegant and with that nice wooden touch with the caps. Enough with idle chit chat, let's get to this showcase.
The pointy tips and chiseled angles of lipsticks always get me every single time. <3
GALAXY
A rich plum shade by the tube but when worn becomes something a bit different--reminiscent of Cranberry or the pedals from a deep red rose.
The photos are of a few swipes with the tube, to achieve that full pigmented color. Definitely a shade I will be wearing a lot, especially during the fall season. I love me a nice, deep rich red lippy.
SUMMER SANDS
A light pink nude, that is what this shade is. It blends wonderfully with my own natural skintone. Again, the photos I have are of a few swipes across my lips to get to that pigmented shade. A lovely color, I'd say--especially for those who are nude obsessed.
I hope you are enjoying this showcase thus far, we still got a LONG way to go~ lol
🌿Here is some more info & swatches🌿
⚫So much, so little space to write. lol The colors are true shades of what you'd expect from a lipstick. Everything I'd personally want FROM a lipstick. They were long lasting, didn't migrate when worn for long periods of time. They didn't transfer when I ate or drank. Perfection at it's finest, purest form.
Can we just stop and admire the caps of these products!!!! Just look at them, a work of art itself~
🌿Here are a few negatives🌿
⚫But as with everything good, there always is at least one or two things that get nitpicked. These lipsticks are great but I did find them a bit hard to apply. They were a bit stiff to get on. I highly recommend putting on a moisturizing lipbalm beforehand, to help ease the process of application. One swipe surely won't do these lipsticks justice, so I also recommend a few good swipes across. Especially for the pinky nude 'Summer Sands' one. (or others like it!)
⚫I don't know if this is a con for you, but I found that the Galaxy shade stained my skin a lot more than the Summer Sands. Of course, most reds usually do but something to note just the same.
⚫Now, when I said the lipsticks were "stiff," it's mostly in application because once you have the lipsticks ON, it's a whole different thing. They aren't chalky or dry when worn. In fact, after you get a few good swipes on, they start to feel a lot more moisturizing. Maybe the lipstick is designed in a way that you NEED to run it over a few times for intense results but again noting how I felt.
All in all, two amazingly pigmented lipstick shades that I am proud to add into my growing collection!
You ever wonder what is at the end of a rainbow? I did, for a long time until I found this cream! I firmly believe this Turmeric Cream is what you'd find if you chased rainbows. Task Force Nine highlights Turmeric (as the name suggests) as being the main focal point alongside Calendula but that is only a few of many amazing ingredients in this little bottle. Aloe Vera, Jojoba Seed Oil, Lemon Peel Oil, Calendula, Rosemary, Honeysuckle, Vanilla and Seabuckthorn. To sum it down--It's Antiseptic, Antibacterial and extremely moisturizing! The perfect treat for dry, cracked, sad skin!
The color of the cream is a light yellow in sunlight. Consistency of most lotions, even perhaps ointments.
🌿MY OPINION🌿
As someone who suffers from dry skin on a daily basis. I am in LOVE with everything about this product. The packaging, much with everything Organic Skin Co has, really melts my heart. The professional, sleek design with that beautiful wooden cap.
Restoration is key with this product. My hands, my chest. Heck, even my face feels so smooth after using this product. Since it's made from great ingredients, you can use it pretty much everywhere you need it.
Calendula has been my latest obsession after finding this product. All the beneficial properties with it--antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that might make it useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, and relieving diaper rash. It's also used as an antiseptic. Combine that with everything else provided in this cream and you got yourself a skin saving warrior to your rescue.
As for scent--it reminds me heavily of lemon cake batter. A delicious warm vanilla with a slight lemon scent veiling on top of it all.
A little goes such a long way. It soaks into my skin wonderfully without being too sticky or greasy. All I am left with is soft, supple skin. I have also reached for this on many incidents where I get a rash flair up. (I tend to get hives or rashes occasionally, due to weather change or whatever!) but I found that a little of this works like a charm. In less than a few seconds of application, the flair up has reduced to nothing. It soaks into my skin and gives me that much needed moisturizing bliss to calm any irritations I may have, especially those due to dry patched skin.
🌿ALL OF THE PRODUCTS TOGETHER🌿
Overall, my expereince with The Organic Skin Co. was quite a pleasant one. Finding these products really opened new windows for me. Especially with the pigmentation and lasting power they had. Below this text is a photo I took after I attempted to take off the swatches using my reusable micro cleaning cloth and Micellar Water! lol
As you can plainly see, most (if not--ALL) the products decided to stay on my skin for that long haul. Personally, I like a good stain (let's me know I can depend on the product to last all day!!) but I know some people will look to this as a horrible find. Take it however you will, I am just the product tester~ ;D hahaa
If you'd like to purchase any of these, you can find them HERE!
Thank you for reading all of this. I hope I cleared up any questions you had about this company or products. Feel free to follow, I'll follow back! Also, if this review/showcase was an interesting read, could you please let me know by hitting that "like" button or the "I wanna try" button?!
