Urban Decay "Stay Naked" Foundation + Correcting Concealer Review

Hello everyone!
In this post I will be reviewing two products from Urban Decay!
I was gifted these through Influenster for testing purposes, so that is what we will be doing today.

From the website:
"It’s time to find your Naked truth. With 50 shades focused on 9 intensities, 3 mastertones, and 7 undertones, Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation makes it easy to match your true skin tone. The first vegan, breathable longwear formula to last up to 24 hours, Stay Naked has buildable medium coverage with a real-skin matte finish."
I will be putting this to the biggest test, one that is of more concern to me.
On their website they claim this foundation is "waterproof" and I can't stress enough how many times I've heard this same little slogan time and time again from various other foundations claiming all sorts of promises. So I will be doing a mini "water test" at the very end, to see if it holds truth behind the statement.
Aside from the waterproofing, Urban Decay also claims that this formula is long-wearing and should feel as if I have nothing on at all. Thanks to a breathable, flexible formulation that moves with me. (up to 24 hours!) AND it is supposed to help minimize the appearance of large pores. Which if I'm being honest, I need the most help with.
So, enough with the causalities, let's get this review going...
MY STAR RATING: ★★★★ (4 out of 5 stars!)

The product packaging is something worth noting--very clean, stylish and dare I say, beautiful? |

If the box packaging didn't do it for you, the bottles surely will. I love the square, almost art-deco, feel to it. It'd definitely look nice on a lit up vanity. |

I remember when Urban Decay was just eyeshadow. Either I wasn't paying attention or I missed the skincare/face memo but I am impressed they are expanding their name with different products. I also remember when I bought Urban Decay at my local drugstore and only paid like $3.50 for a pot of pigment, but that's a different story. lol |

Okay, I teased you enough with these images--let's get to the swatches... |

As the image suggests, the top is 30NN and the bottom is 30CP. My skin, to me, matched perfectly to 30NN. The bottom was a little too dark. |

You can't tell the color difference much in this light but trust me...the bathroom light doesn't lie. Just wait until you see the below pictures. lol |

See what I mean? The bottom was slightly more dark. Almost tan/orange in contrast. The top matched perfectly, I'd say. As for the water-test...I'd say they were both a sure winner. No leaking, no creasing, nothing. It took some vigorous wipey action to get the stuff off. |
*****OVERALL*****
I've always been a fan of full coverage but my aging skin screams after hours of wearing the cake batter. One thing, among many things, I've noticed about this product was that it gave the appearance of a full coverage foundation without the feeling of one. Unlike many thick foundations, this was light and made me forget I even had anything on at all. I wore both in swatches but actually took to the 30NN to wear for 4 hrs of work. It held up nicely, just slightly crumbling after the 4hr mark. Especially around the ridges and creases--my nose, smile lines, etc. It didn't run off or become patchy but it did, for the most part, made me slightly oily. I don't know if it is because of my own skin but something to note. All in all, a great weightless foundation that I definitely will be wearing a lot. I gave it 4/5 merely because it's great but the oily feeling after 4hrs was not very flattering. Tolerable, of course but a nuisance nonetheless. Not a breaking point for me, obviously but still worth the reduction of a star!

MY STAR RATING: ★★★★ (4 out of 5 Stars!)

Now that the foundation is out of the way...I will get onto the next product for review.
Not only was I gifted the foundation, but the concealer to go with it.
I got the 30CP shade to test and review. This concealer has a very nice quality texture. The formula is definitely a lot better than most concealers I've used. It's Weightless and light. Feels like you have nothing on if applied correctly with the correct amount. It applies easy with the foam applicator included.

The applicator is also worth noting, it reminds me of a tilted doe foot, used mostly in liquid lipsticks! I apply my product and blend with brush or fingers, depending on my schedule. I can't really pickup an odor, which is nice to find. I can't stand that medicinal almost plastic smell most makeup products tend to have! Yuck!! For me, it lasted the whole work day and well into the rest of my home time. It started to crease with my makeup after 4 hrs, but around that time is when I should be getting back home to either wash it off or reapply.

It was waterproof, my sweat can agree with me on that. It's just the more you'd be around moisture/water--the more it will surely crease!! Be weary if you have dry skin, though. It will enhance the look of it. Be sure to put on a moisturizer/face oil under the product to help the appearance of chippy skin. Another downside, the color despite being the only shade closest to my tone was still 2 shades lighter. Maybe I'm using concealers wrong but the ones I'm used to are supposed to blend in with my natural tone so it can give a flawless look when used on target spots. All in all, a great product despite it all. Still worthy of 4 stars considering the others I've tried. 4/5

And there you have it.
My two reviews for Urban Decay. I liked them, but they didn't WOW me completely.
To be quite honest, nothing is ever truly 5 stars unless it's extremely out of this world for me.
4 stars is still pretty high up on my quality scale, so that is saying something. A bit pricey but price isn't something to rate about. A dollar bill isn't the performance of a product, just a price tag. lol
Will I buy this again once I run on empty? Probably not. Is it worth the investment? Sure.
If you want a light feeling foundation that will stay in place without smearing/creasing/cracking, I'd definitely suggest this but it's entirely up to you and what you'd consider "worth it." Not me.
xoxo
